Again a successful day of junior rugby it was. A well organised tournament incorporating the seniors later the day. Taking on Pirates was not gonna be an easy day but the juniors made it look easy with loads of talent coming to the fore. Great support coming from mothers and fathers and family members whitnessing the Springboks of the future. Tigers rugby at its best by winning 4 games out of 6. Welldone to all the coaches and players and specially to all their supporters.

JUNIORS FIRST TOURNAMENT
The juniors hosted Alberton at Wemmer Pan on Saturday 16 July 2011. In front of a large crowd our kids produced brilliant rugby. Incorporating the juniors and the seniors at one venue was a huge success.In a very well organised tournament the juniors did very well.

Union Tigers Junior Rugby Club will start preseason training on Thursday 2 June 2011 from 18h15 till 19h30. We would like to invite all interested players from under 6 to under 18 to join us for training every Thursday at President Hoërskool, Rifle Range Rd, Ridgeway. We currently have vacant spots for coaches in certain age groups, we call on all ex rugby players to give back what the game gave us for so many years. During the year a junior coaching clinic took place at the club with coaches like Lions senior player Alwyn Hollenbach and current primary school Craven Week coach, Johan Kotze. The Tigers entered teams in the U/16, U/15, U/14, U/13, U/11, U/10 and U/9 Amateur Club League and competed against clubs like Roodepoort, Diggers, UJ, Jeppe, Alberton, Inquina and Pirates. The U/15 side won their league with all the other teams doing well in their different leagues. According to Chairman André Crous, the turnout of participants, forced the club to divide the children into two teams per age group.
